My neighbour has just brought a packet cover to show me and it says that the meal can be given to cats and dogs!

I went onto the website and it says just give the cat the meat but for dogs add biscuits.

I was under the impression that cats have totally different dietry requirements to dogs - can someone enlighten me please.

I think it just the company trying to make money? And found it better too offer the two in one solution?

Hmm. I wonder if the fact that they are instructing people to add a good quality mixer if feeding to dogs suggests that the mixer is the essential component in ensuring the dog gets all the nutrients it needs? Why

They do have a range sepcifially for dogs too.

Its just another marketing thing, most people with a cat and a dog will go and buy can of dog food can of cat etc, this is just saying hey buy this its costs more but is two in one.

Logically people should see this, naturaly they wont!

Anyone who knows half a thing about dogs/cats will know if you want your pet to have the required nutrition you buy what best suits one thing, its like having a product specifically for a ginger cat or a black cat, advertising will tell u it will help the different colour coats, most people will see through it but there are the small majority that wont!

Thank you everyone. I have already told my neighbour that his dog should not eat only cat food (dogs loves it) but he will buy whatever is the cheapest option.

I told him that while the effects won;t show for a while, he could be putting both his dog and his cats as risk. I told him to check with a vet but don't think he will somehow.
My cats have different food to my dogs and always have had.
