One of the black hooded boys went to a new home to keep a lone baby boy happy. We don't normally home single rats.

Jet, Sapphire and Amethyst (2 black hoodeds and agouti hooded with the most brown) went to their new home today. Ruby (silver fawn hooded) and Tanzanite (agouti hooded) are still looking as I haven't heard anything for their prospective new home for quite some time.
There was some interest in a pair of boys but it has fallen through.

Oh such a shame. That said I have someone here in watford wanting a pair of baby or young boys, maybe a train could be organized if she's deemed sutiable? (i've had extensive chats with her and would place two animals with her but no baby boys ATM)

Poor ol' Boys..... Dya think it could be the myth that male rats smell that's stopping them...
Cos it seriously is a myth!

It could be but as you say they don't smell. It's funny sometimes the boys get snapped up before the girls but not in this case. Maybe it's the myth that all boys are more difficult to introduce to each other than girls. This can be the case with older males but not with youngsters.
These boys are really coming out of their shells now and are inquisitive cheeky little (although growing fast) chaps

I am working on my OH every day, slowly grinding him down and opening up his mind about rats making the coolest pets, (I've not had any for about a year now). I would LOVE to give some of these ratties a home, I'll keep trying my persuasive powers and see if I can talk him round.
