Sam is a 2 year old brindle Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross. He is a very affectionate, friendly dog who lives with Doug (also featured on DogsBlog.com) at the moment. Can you offer him a loving new home?
This dog that is in our care requires a home that is prepared to give that “little bit extra” in order to take on their new hairy friend. They have not only come out of the stray pound moments before death but unfortunately, through no fault of their own, have received treatment from their previous owners, that has resulted in them having a range of either physiological or behavioural traits, as well.
To this end this dog has been receiving one to one counselling and gentle training in order for them to rebuild their confidence and be able to recover from their past ordeals, at a specialist training centre. We are very happy to say that this dog has now completed their course and are ready to move on and find their special home. Because of their past, unless otherwise stated, each of these lovely lads and lasses will need to find homes without any other animals, no children under 12, and homes who have had experience of owning dogs previously.
Any potential adopter must also be prepared to visit the training centre and undergo an assessment with the dog before the adoption takes place, and then revisit the centre 1 week after the adoption for a further assessment. Any potential adopter must be prepared to continue with any ongoing training as recommended by the training centre. Of course both the charity and the training centre will provide all the new owners with any support that they may need.
He is now ready for rehoming and has been moved to Crewe. For further details, please contact 01782 751105.
