i thought it would be a good idea last year to have my sister inlaw and family over for 3 days. never ever again. talk about make yourself at home, my sister inlaw emptied my washing machine and was asking "so where i put the knickers" waving them about. i had friends round at the time, i was not a happy bunny. lol. had a big fall out with my brother inlaw on the last night and they made a very hasty retreat in the morning. so good luck with keeping a lid on things. i really feel for you.

I think I've obviously always been really lucky lucky then. My (hopefully one day!) sister-in-law especially is so lovely I couldn't want for a nicer sister! Mind you, I think she's probably the only one I wouldn't *really* mind going through all my washing and making herself quite at home like that. Razz

I finally got my divorce through about a month ago...yay!
My in-laws were a nightmare, constantly asking why I didn't dress more 'feminine' and commenting on how my husbands clothes were not as well ironed as they were when he was at home!! I spent all my time gritting my teeth and trying to shrug off comments. The males of the family did not understand that a female could be very practical and actually have a brain so they constantly spoke to me like I was an idiot BangWall

I met my new fella through match.com and his family could not be more lovely. I instantly inherited a new family who have welcomed me with open arms.
The irony is, I have gone from being a total tomboy (I have a stash of hoodies) to someone who wears (and makes) dresses, paints her nails and owns pink high heels!

Lol! Been there, done that and very happily divorced for 5 years. Just me, my girls and my freedom to watch what I like, go where I like, wear what I like, drink and eat what I like - oh and have any pets that I like of course.
The only "in-law" I have now is my brother's husband lol, he's great1 Will do anything for you and give you the time of day.
My ex "out laws" are no longer around.

Think I'd struggle to find the time for a bloke now lol

I'm so glad its not just me then. It was my son's birthday on Weds (3rd) and STILL there is no sign of a present or anything of my OH brother and sister!! His sister sent my daughter a pack of cheap ponies but the actual birthday boy - nowt!! It annoys me because its godamn favouritism and I hate it!!! But can you say anything to her - oh NO cos we wouldn't want to upset the stupid b*tch now would we!!!! Very Angry
