I am having to write this after a nasty experience, and hoping to awareness of this possibly deadly issue.

The story:

A transporter came up to the kennels and left a dog unattended in the car, whilst getting another dog due for transport out of the kennels. The dog was left in the car barely 5 minutes.

On returning to the car it was found the dog had twisted its lead around its neck and choked itself. The dog's eyes were bulging, his tongue blue, he wasnt breathing and there was no heart ...

2) how do people become fosters? I'd willingly offer for short term, emergency fostering (for dogs, guinea pigs, rabbits - tho g-pigs and rabbits would need to look at housing situation), but as I work full time feel I'd get turned away (plus would also have to be dog-freindly), but most places seem to want people who are home all day.

I know that sounds like a stupid question....but I have 4 cats, my eldest are 18yrs and 12yrs, and I cant remember how old they were when I let them out.

I have a 12mth old female and a 6mth old male........I am so scared of letting them out, as my 12yr old cat went missing for 6yrs and I only got him back last april....he was chipped and had a tag on....but some nasty person took his collar off and kept him indoors.....and luckily it was a vet scanning him that found out I had reported him ...

I've just had this sent to me:

'On April 30th at 6am Manchester Airport will be sending 5 Men,

armed with guns with the intention to kill all the birds in the Dunham Massey Rookery.

The Rooks have been living in these nests forever.

The Airport's intention is to try and prevent bird strikes,

which of course is essential as obviously humans safety is paramount,

but killing these rooks will not solve the problem at the airport.

The birds have been observed for many years

Just moved this dog today. He'd been left chained in a garden and fed through the window because the woman was frightened of him. His choke chain was imbedded in his neck and had to be cut away by the vet. He was due to be pts today but is now in the care of GSD Rescue Uk. Considering what he's been through he's a lovely boy......

Was difficult to get a decent pic.... he wouldn't keep still!
